FG2BH Review: “Beautiful Soul”

Over the weekend I finally caught the new Genevive Nnaji film project, “Beautiful Soul.”

Beautiful Soul Starring Genevive Nnaji

Directed by Tchidi Chikere and written by Miss Nnaji, the film depicts Genevive as a good hearted yet terminally ill girl named Olivia who traded in her affluent lifestyle for more humble settings. Olivia then became a guardian angel of sorts (re: Governess) to a recently divorced “poor” mother (played by Ghanaian movie star Nana Ama McBrown) and daughter. Olivia befriended the mother-daughter duo via a job as the young girl’s governess and Olivia quickly has a family to love after the lost of her own immediate family. Along the way Olivia tackles love and companionship with taxi driver David (Chikere) and her on/off boyfriend Geoffery (played by Yul Edochie).

FG2BH Review Beautiful Soul

The script, continuity, singing and acting skills are superb. Genevieve Nnaji instantly reminded the viewers why she earned those well-deserved Nollywood awards. Be on the lookout for vocals from the film’s director, Tchidi. By the end you will be on team David and not team Geoffery. (LOL!)

“Beautiful Soul” reminded viewers to always give back…even though you may not get something in return. Purchase a $5.99 copy of “Beautiful Soul” at AFRICAMOVIES.COM.

“Beautiful Soul” FG2BH rating : 4/5 stars
