Official 2010 World Cup Anthems Featuring Shakira, Kelly Rowland, TuFace, Angelique Kidjo & Nneka
The Kelly Rowland-assisted 2010 official FIFA World Cup anthem Everywhere You Go featuring Africa United just surfaced on YouTube last night. The featured African hip-hop artists are Chameleone, Awadi, Kwesta, Krotal, Rola, Samini, 2Face and Slikour.
Shakira remixed her previous hit single “Waka Waka” just for the World Cup anthem soundtrack and she renamed it Waka Waka (This Time For Africa). She even incorporated funky Afrobeat/highlife mix on the track as well as a fun dance craze for the video treatment.
Nigerian-German hip-hop artist/songwriter Nneka recorded a smash hit song called “Viva Africa” for the soundtrack. Check it out…

West African (of Benin) artist Angelique Kidjo teamed up with Bono and John Legend on “Move On Up.” I love how the 1970 Curtis Mayfield remake turned out with these three!
