Former Face of Africa Kate Menson from Ghana Poses for Marie Claire South Africa
Former Face of Africa winner, model Kate Menson from Ghana pose for a stunning photo shoot for Marie Claire South Africa magazine. Photographed by Daniella Midenge, Kate sported loud form-fitting brights for the upcoming Spring/Summer season. Kate’s Muse Management model and she also has been associated with OModel Africa – a top fashion agency run by Nigerian-born model Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi. Is it just me or is anyone else getting a little Whitney Houston vibe from the solo photo???
Kate proudiy represent her native homeland just like her fellow African models Georgie Badiel and Nina Kieta ! By the way Georgie has a FAB pictorial (done by Marc Baptiste) in the December/January 2011 issue of Uptown magazine. Georgie wore a silk printed top by Nigerian fashion designer Lola Faturoti and ruffle dress by Olori by Nigerian-born designer Adeleke Sijuwade. Lola (from Ondo state) became well-known thanks to her commemorative dress she made for Barack Obama. Olori (means princess in Yoruba) is Adeleke’s popular women collection.
