Sade Heats Up With “Soldier of Love”

December 10, 2009

Sade Solider of Love Single Cover Artwork

In case you missed out on the biggest music news in 2009, internationally known alternative jazz/R&B/pop group and its iconic same name female vocalist SADE is back! Solider of Love – the title track SADE decided to lead their new sound – provides all elements of why they are simply the best at what they do. (The blogosphere and fans alike enjoyed the tune as well.) The 6 minute long song -true to form- has a gritty bass beat, a sick drum intro, marching band-like melody, and infectious lyrics. Check play to listen to Sade declare that she’s a solider of love everyday of her life.

Can we discuss how great the cover artwork for Solider of Love is? Sade gave us a tease with the album cover now she’s facing her audience head on just as she did years ago. Her signature hairstyle and lipstick are all presented. Since we last saw a glimpse of her thanks to the 2000 release of Lovers Rock, Sade has NOT changed on the physical tip. (<–What is her beauty secret???)

You already know that when SADE (plus her bandmates Andrew Hale, Stuart Matthewman & Paul Spencer Denman) goes on tour, the concert tickets will be sold out. Feed your hunger by visiting YouTube for clips of their last tour gig, Lovers Rock.

The song, Solider of Love, reportedly debut on the Billboard charts at #49 since its leak this week…thanks to airplay on the radio! Sade’s new album drops on February 8, 2010!
