FG2BH BUZZ: Thandie Newton Replaces Mariah + Oluchi Graduates From NYU

June 13, 2010

UK actress Thandie Newton has been announced as Mariah Carey’s replacement in the upcoming Tyler Perry movie project, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf. Mariah’s sudden announcement to leave the project ignited pregnancy rumors to which her husband Nick Cannon vehemently denies. Production for the 1975 play written by Ntozake Shange has started with sightings of Janet Jackson and Tyler filming in Harlem. Tyler on the other hand joked that he wanted a doctor’s note from Mariah as told to CNN

“I said, ‘What? You’re kidding me?’ It’s five days before she has to go to work; nobody does that. We have a deal. I was told that we got a call, saying that even though our deal was done, she had been advised by her doctor not to do the film,” Perry writes. “I said, ‘What? You know I want a doctor’s note, don’t you? LOL.”

According to Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi’s official Twitter page, she recently became a VERY proud NYU graduate. In celebration of this great news, Oluchi posted up on TweetPhoto her graduation portrait and with her dream of obtaining a MBA! Oluchi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in leadership and management, reports The Observer. (No word on whether this tidbit is true as the article was written three years ago. Who knows? Oluchi might have switch majors since then.) No doubt her husband Luca Orlandi (of the fashion brand Luca Luca) and son Ugo shares her enthusiasm! We here at FG2BH salutes OLUCHI!
