The 2011 Future Awards Style Edition: Genevieve Nnaji in Meena & Eku Edewor in Bridget Awosika

January 31, 2011

Who was what was all the rage over Twitter during the 2011 Future Awards. Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji looked stunning in a one-shoulder blue jumpsuit from Meena Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I love her makeup an green nails. UPDATE: Check out a close-up shot of Genevieve in Meena courtesy of Bella Naija!

Nigerian TV Personality Eku Edewor was the first Naijaista (Nigerian + fashionista) to be seen in a look from Bridget Awosika’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. One Nigerian Boy was the first Nigerian fashion blogger on the scene to capture Bridget Awosika’s latest line. Eku picked a black one-shoulder look with a thigh-high slit from the line and she rocked her favorite Chanel purse to complete the look. Thanks Haute Fashion Africa! I love Eku’s pull-back hair style and big black shades!

Blogger Daks from Nigerian fashion blog Third World Profashional was also seen in the same Meena Spring/Summer 2011 jumpsuit. To be precise, Daks wore it in purple and Genevieve wore it in blue! Both ladies wore their wavy hair down. Meena, a Nigerian fashion line by Uju Offiah, unveiled its Spring/Summer Collection name “Silver Shadow” back in December at Victoria Island, Lagos. Which lady pulled off the look?

Here’s another style event vs runway edition featuring Omowunmi Akinnifesi in House of Nwocha red long-sleeved lace embroidered dress. (Style House Files posted her House of Nwocha dress back in December which you can see here.)  Visit GOOD2BHOME to see which SAG Awards 2011 dress Omowunmi’s red carpet look looks like. You’ll be surprised!
