First Lady Michelle Obama’s South America Trip Style
During the First Family’s trip to Rio de Janiero, Brazil of their Trip to South America, all eyes were on what First Lady Michelle Obama would wear. So far Michelle has worn colorful Spring/Summer designs from Marc Jacobs, Tracey Reese, Rachel Roy, L’Wren Scott, Sophie Theallet, Jason Wu, Zero + Maria Cornejo, and Naeem Khan.
As always Michelle has pushed the WOW/IT factor yet again leaving the White House for the start of her South American trip with husband President Barack Obama and daughter Malia Obama….
Michelle wore a red and black tribal print Tracey Reese Spring/Summer 2011 dress during the First Family’s first stop to Rio de Janiero, Brazil of their Trip to South America. On the Spring/Summer 2011 runway Sudanese model Ataui Deng wore it in black and white. Michelle made the look her own by adding comfy straps! Tracey Reese’s online boutique has this look for $350.
Michelle wore a cream, bright yellow multi-stripe silk dress from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Stylebop has Michelle’s Marc by Marc Jacobs dress for $685! Stripes are all the rage as Elle magazine can contest to!
Michelle was seen in this sleeveless champagne colored Naeem Khan Spring/Summer 2011 shift dress as she and her family arrived at Palacio do Alvorada in Brasilia, Brazil, to meet Brazilian President Dilma Vana Rousseff. This is NOT the first time that Michelle has worn a design from the Indian fashion designer!
At restaurant in Brazil, Michelle wore a beige Rachel Roy wall print jacket & matching one shoulder dress with metallic brown kitten heels. Michelle previously wore a Rachel Roy stunning look months ago at her husband President Barack’s State of the Union address.
For the official state dinner with Chile’s President, Michelle wore a plum over-the-shoulder Sophie Theallet gown. For her family’s trip to Christ The Redeemer Statue, she wore a Diane Von Furstenberg striped wrap blouse which also in a dress style. (I guess Michelle and Diane’s Alexander McQueen misunderstanding is now water under the bridge, eh?)
