Nollywood actress/fashion designer Genevieve Nnaji received a well deserved recognition (name shout-out) on the Monday September 28th edition of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The episode showcase the most famous people in the world. Nnaji was coined as Julia Roberts of Africa. (FG2BH is proud that Nigerian actors are getting their positive feedback from mainstream America. I totally agree with that defining statement, Oprah!)

Naija’s own top paying actress (<–more on that later) also put on her directing hat on for the film Beautiful Soula flick that Feels Good 2B Home declared a must-see. Nnaji co-wrote, produced, headlined,  and directed her feature film with Tchidi Chikere.
Just days after Oprah Winfrey handpicked Nigerian author Uwem Akpan’s short stories collection Say You’re One of Them to be included into her Book Club, Oprah put the positive spotlight back on hard working Nollywood actors and actresses! (Keep making us proud, Nollywood!)

Did I mention Nnaji gets a $6,500 paycut per film appearance???  That’s big Naira in Naija!

Congrats to Genevieve Nnaji!!!
